Paysafe Appoints New Chief People Officer

Paysafe has appointed Najuma Atkinson as its new Chief People Officer to drive growth, bringing more than two decades of experience in scaling large organisations. The payments platform announced the hire on August 7, 2026, just after reporting strong first-quarter financial results. Atkinson previously served as Executive Vice President and Chief People Officer at Hasbro, where she led the toy and entertainment business’s human resources department. Before that, she spent more than 20 years at Dell Technologies, progressing to Senior Vice President of Global HR Services through roles in strategy and customer experience.
Capitalising on commercial momentum
The executive joins during a period of robust performance. The company reported first-quarter 2026 revenue of US$442.7 million, a 10% year-on-year increase, alongside a 21% jump in adjusted EPS. Expansion in Latin America and robust digital wallet operations have contributed to a sharp rally in the company’s share price this year.
Paysafe is bolstering its leadership team by hiring Najuma Atkinson, who will oversee the company’s human resources as it experiences rapid growth. Although Atkinson lacks a background in payments, her experience in managing HR for large, complex organisations will be invaluable. She previously worked at Dell, where she was responsible for HR operations as the company expanded into a leading technology provider, and at Hasbro, where she headed HR for a company with global brands and a distributed workforce. This experience has equipped her to support Paysafe’s international operations. Atkinson’s appointment demonstrates Paysafe’s proactive approach to investing in its talent infrastructure.
Atkinson assumes full responsibility for the global People function, focusing on building a high-performance workforce and developing internal talent to support expansion across dozens of global markets. Establishing a standalone Chief People Officer role during a period of business acceleration signals that Paysafe regards human capital strategy as a core driver of sustainable growth.
Having spent the past year demonstrating its financial turnaround to the market, Paysafe is now aiming to apply that same strategic discipline to its internal culture and human resources. Atkinson said she is “excited for what we will build together” and expressed her gratitude to CEO Bruce Lowthers and the executive team for their warm welcome.
