Preparing for a Waxing Appointment
Waxing is a procedure designed to give you great looking skin. This is also one of those procedures no one likes to be put through. You should then wax at the right time of the month. You should make sure you do not wax when you are about to have your periods, as you are more sensitive down there. A good time is a week before your periods.
You should also get into the habit of waxing regularly. As you keep waxing, so will you interfere with your hair growth pattern. Over time, you will notice hair in your pubic region thinning. The waxing sessions shall be less often, as shall the pain be much lower. The fact that you wax regularly means that the hair shall not have grown too tall. When the hair is taller, you tend to experience more pain. Therefore, keep a regular, even constant, schedule for a more controlled experience.
You should also prepare yourself mentally for the sessions. You need to get into get rid of all feelings of tension and anxiety before the session begins. When you are jittery and apprehensive of what is about to happen, it shall be more painful than it ought to. When you relax and remain calm, the session will not be as painful as you had feared before. You can, for example, go for the session over the weekend. This is normally when most people are relaxed and not in a rush. You can even take in the soothing ambiance of a spa. You can even go for a massage before waxing to relax yourself completely.
There are also skin numbing creams you can use when you feel the pain will be too much. These shall numb your skin and thus leave you impervious to the pain sensations. Those have to be used under the guidance of your doctor. They are also recommended for those who tend to feel the most pain after the session. There is also the cold compress or a post-wax treatment. Those shall keep skin irritation to a minimum.
